- Description:
White point is a spit of land extending almost 0.50 nm from the west side of Great Guana Cay. Although the tip is rocky, inshore from the tip are sweeping arcs of powdery white sand on either side. The north side of the spit has the longest beach and is the clearest of grass and weed, although there is little difference in the holding on either side. Similarly wind protection is only slightly better on the side opposite of the wind. The north beach is shallower and wind surfers will delight in the ability to launch in calm water but with powerful winds sweeping in from Exuma Sound.
