Great Harbour - Bullocks Harbour
- Location: Berry Islands
- Lat / Lon: N 25° 45.204' / W 077° 52.493'
- Depth: 8-10Feet
- Tide: 2.0'-2.5'
- Description:
The anchorage in front of the settlement is well protected from the northeast to east and because of the very shallow water, the protection is adequate even when winds reach upward of 20 kts from the southeast. Outside of those quadrants the anchorage can become uncomfortable, although the holding is very good. It would not be the first choice for riding out a cold front, but it can be done if you are stuck.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
