Aunt Pat's Bay
- Location: Abacos
- Lat / Lon: N 26° 30.800' / W 076° 58.830'
- Depth: 6'-10'
- Tide: 2.0'-2.5'
- Description:
The anchorage lies south of the channel to White Sound in the lee of Elbow Cay and is a convenient spot for draft restricted vessels to wait for an appropriate tide to enter White Sound. It can also be considered as an overflow anchorage when the crowds at Tahiti Beach ~0.50nm farther south get too large. There is good protection from NE-SE, but it is exposed in all other directions, although the mass of Lubbers Quarters will mitigate some of the seas if the wind shifts into westerly quadrants.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
